Description
A row of flat silver bars set across the finger, each one a different length, stepping up to a peak in the middle and back down again. Behind them the surface is oxidised almost black, so the bars stand off a dark ground rather than sitting on a silver one. No two bars carry the same texture. One is struck with deep round dimples, the next with fine parallel striations, another stippled to a rough matte — worked individually with different tools before being set in place. It is the reason the ring does not read as a machined grid: catch it in the light and each bar answers differently. Small silver beads run along the darkened crossbars behind, filling the gaps between the uprights. The band splits into two slim hammered rails at the shoulders and rejoins under the finger. That is a structural decision as much as a visual one: a face this size on a single band tends to rotate, and the split holds it upright while keeping the underside light. The face measures [__] mm across and [__] mm from the lowest bar to the highest, standing [__] mm off the finger. It weighs around [__] g. There are [__] bars in total. There is no stone here and no second metal — the whole ring is 925 sterling silver, and the entire effect comes from texture, length and shadow. It suits anyone drawn to geometric, architectural jewellery rather than ornament. Made by hand in our Cappadocia workshop. Each bar is textured and set individually, so the rhythm across the face differs slightly from ring to ring.

FAQs
Is this ring solid sterling silver?
Yes — 925 sterling silver throughout, including the bars, the crossbars and the split band. There is no plating and no second metal. The near-black ground behind the bars is oxidation on the silver itself.
Why does the band split into two?
A face this wide on a single narrow band tends to rotate on the finger. Splitting the shank into two rails spreads the load across a wider footprint so the bars stay upright, and it keeps the underside lighter than a solid band would be.
Do the bar ends catch on clothing?
The ends are rounded and filed smooth rather than left square, so the ring passes over most fabrics cleanly. As with any raised design, we would not recommend it with loose knitwear or fine lace.
Will the black finish between the bars fade?
The oxidation sits recessed behind the bars, protected from rubbing, so it stays dark far longer than a finish on an exposed surface. The bar faces themselves will brighten with wear, which sharpens the contrast. Never use a liquid silver dip — it strips the black ground in seconds and the ring loses its depth.
How large does it look on the hand?
The face is [__] mm across and [__] mm tall, covering the width of the finger between the knuckles. It is a deliberate focal piece — best worn alone on the hand.
What ring sizes are available, and can it be resized?
Sizes are listed in the size selector. [__ — confirm size range and whether resizing is offered]. Because of the split band construction, tell us your size before ordering if it is not shown and we will make it to measure.
How do I clean it?"
A dry polishing cloth across the tops of the bars only. If dust settles between them, rinse under warm water with a soft brush and dry fully. Keep polish and dip solutions away from the dark recesses.
Where is it made?
In our own workshop in Cappadocia, Turkey. Each bar is textured with a different tool and set by hand, so no two rings carry exactly the same pattern.
