Description
A wide sterling silver band cut through with an open zigzag lattice, so the ring reads as a row of silver bars with daylight between them rather than a solid surface. Eight polished bronze studs sit along the top and bottom edges, four on each side, holding the pattern in place. The lattice is built from individual silver bars, joined at the points and darkened around the joins. Oxidation is pushed into the recesses and polished off the bars themselves, which is what makes the zigzag read from a distance — bright metal against dark shadow instead of one flat grey band. The shoulders, where the ring narrows toward the finger, are textured by hand so the piece never turns smooth and anonymous at the sides. The zigzag is the oldest pattern in Anatolian weaving, the running-water line that repeats along the border of a kilim. Cut into metal and left open, it does the same thing here: it gives the ring rhythm across the whole width rather than a single focal point, which is why it works from any angle and needs no stone. The band is [__] mm wide and [__] mm at the shoulders, wide enough to be the only ring on the hand and shaped so it does not press when you close your fist. Because the centre is open, it is far lighter than a solid band of the same width — around [__] g. Two metals, two ways of ageing. The 925 silver keeps its oxidised contrast. The bronze studs will not stay bright gold: they settle into a deeper, browner tone over the first months of wear, and that patina is the point of using bronze rather than a plating. Polish them back whenever you want the contrast sharp again. Made by hand in our Cappadocia workshop. The lattice is assembled bar by bar, so spacing and oxidation vary slightly from ring to ring.

FAQs
Is the whole ring sterling silver?
The band, the lattice and the textured shoulders are solid 925 sterling silver. Only the eight studs are bronze, chosen for the warm colour against the oxidised silver. Nothing on this ring is plated.
Will the bronze studs darken over time?
Yes, and that is intended. Solid bronze develops a warm brown patina with wear — it is not tarnish and it is not a fault. A dry polishing cloth or a bronze-safe polish brings the studs back to bright gold whenever you prefer the sharper contrast.
Is a wide openwork band comfortable to wear every day?
Yes, and more so than a solid band of the same width. The cut-out lattice removes most of the weight, and the band narrows at the shoulders so it does not dig in when you bend your fingers.
Can dirt collect inside the openwork?
Occasionally, yes — the lattice is open front and back, so anything that gets in rinses straight out under warm water. Dry it fully with a soft cloth afterwards, especially around the bronze.
What ring sizes are available, and can it be resized?
Sizes are listed in the size selector. [__ — confirm size range and whether resizing is offered]. A wide band usually fits half a size tighter than a thin one, so consider sizing up if you are between sizes.
Is this a men's ring or a women's ring?
Both. At [__] mm wide it sits as a bold statement band on a smaller hand and as a comfortable everyday ring on a larger one. We make the same design across the full size range.
Where is it made?
In our own workshop in Cappadocia, Turkey. The lattice is assembled bar by bar and oxidised by hand, so no two rings are identical.
