Description
A wide silver band built in three tiers, one stacked above the next, with two fine copper lines running between them all the way around the finger. The two outer tiers are oxidised dark; the centre tier is left bright. The copper sits exactly on the seams, so the ring reads as five stripes of alternating colour rather than one wide surface. Every tier carries the same engraved texture: a dense field of wandering lines that never quite repeats, cut into the silver so the metal looks like it is still moving. On the dark tiers the lines fill with oxidation and read as shadow. On the bright centre tier the same texture catches light instead. Identical tooling, opposite effect — that is what gives the band its depth without a stone anywhere on it. The copper lines are the reason the tiers separate visually. Silver against silver would blur at the seams; a warm line between them draws the eye along the ring and makes the three-tier construction legible from a distance. This is a substantial band, wide enough to be the only ring on the hand, but the tiers step back toward the edges rather than meeting the finger as one flat wall — which is what keeps a ring of this width comfortable through a full day. Two metals means two ways of ageing. The silver holds its oxidised contrast and brightens on the raised lines with wear. The copper will deepen into a warmer, browner tone over the months, which most people prefer as the ring settles. A copper-safe cleaner brings it back to bright if you want the stripes sharp again. Made by hand in our Cappadocia workshop. The engraved lines are cut freehand, so the pattern is different on every ring.

FAQs
What metals is this ring made of?
The band and all three tiers are solid 925 sterling silver. The two fine lines running between the tiers are copper. Nothing on this ring is plated — both metals are solid all the way through.
Will the copper lines wear away?
No. They are solid copper set into the seams, not a plated or painted line, so there is no thin layer to rub through. What will happen is a change of colour: copper deepens to a warmer brown with wear, and a copper-safe polish takes it back to bright whenever you prefer.
Why is the middle tier lighter than the outer two?
Because it is finished differently on purpose. The outer tiers are oxidised so the engraved lines fill with shadow; the centre tier is polished so the same lines catch light. The alternation is what gives the band its striped depth.
Is the texture engraved or cast?
Engraved. The lines are cut into the silver freehand, which is why the pattern wanders and never repeats. A cast ring would carry the identical pattern on every piece.
Is a band this wide comfortable to wear all day?
Yes. The tiers step back toward the edges rather than presenting one flat wall against the finger, so the ring does not press at its rims the way a straight-sided band of the same width does.
What ring sizes are available, and can it be resized?
Sizes are listed in the size selector. A wide band fits tighter than a narrow one, so if you are between sizes, order the larger. If your size is not shown, message us and we will make it to measure.
How do I clean it?
A dry polishing cloth along the raised lines and the bright centre tier. Never use a liquid silver dip — it strips the oxidation out of the engraving and attacks the copper, and the ring loses both its contrast and its stripes.
Where is it made?
In our own workshop in Cappadocia, Turkey. The tiers are built, engraved and oxidised by hand and the copper lines are set by the same silversmith, so no two rings carry the same pattern.
